The Hare and the Tortoise

The hare says he is the fastest animal, so he challenges the other animals to a race.

The tortoise hears the hare boasting and asks if he can race him.

Everyone thinks that the tortoise is going to lose.

The race begins. The hare makes a good start and he is far ahead of the tortoise. He looks behind him and he couldn't see the tortoise for miles, so he decides to have a sleep.

When he wakes, he sees tortoise in front of him about to win the race!

The hare tries to catch up but the tortoise is too far ahead.

The moral of the story is 'slow and steady wins the race'.

Hello Liku,

what a wonderful piece of writing you produced last week, sorry it has taken me so long to leave a comment I have been busy checking student's netbooks before the holidays.

Firstly I'd like to say that I really like your picture of the hare who has fallen asleep under the tree during the race, it is clear that you have taken a lot of time to make it the best work you possibly could.

YOur writing has no spelling mistakes and correct grammar, good work.

Enjoy your holidays and keep up the good work for Miss Garden, I am sure she is impressed!
